Aizome: Japanese traditional hand-dyeing method using plants with a history of over 1,000 years. Its unique blue created by Aizome is known as "Japan Blue". Aizome comes in a variety of blues and the shade of blue changes depending on the number of times it is dyed.
Characteristics of Aizome: Aizome is said to be a highly functional dye with high antibacterial, deodorizing, and insect repellent effects.

We dyed white T-shirt in light Aizome called Nando. T-shirts is manufactured at a factory in Tokyo that has been in business for over 80 years. The body is tubular with no seams on the sides. In addition, the cuffs and hem adopt blind stitching that is seen on vintage T-shirts. Each and every T-shirt is carefully dyed by Aizome craftsmen in Tokyo. Since it is hand-dyed, the color and pattern may vary from piece to piece. Aizome loses its lye as it is washed and becomes more vibrant.

[Handling precautions]
Please wash separately as the color may bleed onto other items when washed. Do not use bleach or detergents containing bleach or optical brighteners. Do not leave it on as this may cause discoloration, and do not leave it unattended after washing. Dry it in the shade. After washing, please store it in a place where it will not be exposed to direct light, as even household lighting will cause discoloration. Do not dry clean nor iron it.
