SOME-ISM's Kyoto Kuromontsuki-dyed products were featured!

T-shirts that embody Japanese tradition

This T-shirt was discovered at SOME-ISM, a brand committed to passing on traditional Japanese dyeing techniques to the next generation. It uses the Kyoto Kuromontsuki dyeing technique, designated as a traditional craft since 1979. The dyeing is entrusted to Kyoto Montsuki, a pioneer in this field, and finished with a special technique called "Shinkuro" processing. The deep, elegant black, achieved through a technique also used for costumes in traditional performing arts like Kabuki, Noh, Gion geisha, and sumo, is exquisite.
